The data will be transferred for the purposes described in this Policy. The privacy and data protection regulations in force in such countries may not be equivalent to those in your country of residence. If you have registered for the Stander customer database, your data may also be stored and processed in Italy.
Where permitted in your country, by using the Website(s) or providing us with your data for the purposes set out in this Policy, you fully understand and clearly accept the transfer of personal data abroad in the context of Stander's normal business operations.

All these companies will act as data processors according to the instructions given by Stander.
Storage of personal data Stander will retain the personal data relating to your profile for the maximum period permitted by the applicable regulations; at the end of this period, the profiling data will be automatically deleted or anonymized and used in such a way that it is no longer possible to identify you by linking this information to your identification data.

Information on cookies and other technologies
1. What is a cookie?
Cookies are text files containing small pieces of information that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone) when you visit a website. Cookies allow the site to "remember" the user's computer, but not specifically who is using it, and to make the browsing experience more pleasant. By associating cookie identifiers with other information about the user, such as data collected when the user logs in to the site, it is possible to know that the information contained in the cookie is about the user.
2. For what purpose do we use cookies?
Cookies are generally used for a variety of purposes, such as to allow you to navigate between pages of a site efficiently, to apply your preferences and, more generally, to improve your browsing experience by customizing the site based on your browsing habits and profile. Cookies can also help ensure that advertisements displayed to online users are more in line with them and their interests.
3. What cookies do we use?
The Stander website uses different types of cookies, for various purposes, as further explained in section 4 "Categories of cookies used on the StanderBags.com website" below.
In particular, Stander uses:
A) session cookies: these are cookies that are only active for the duration of a browsing session. They are generally used to facilitate access to the services offered on the site, to authenticate the user if he/she is a previously registered user and to store the items entered by the user in the shopping cart for purchases; and
B) persistent cookies: these are cookies that are active for multiple visits. They are used to remember the user's preferences and store the actions performed during the visit to the site. In this case, when the user returns to the Stander site or when the user visits other sites that use the same cookies, the site reads the cookies and identifies the user's browser.
Within these two main types of cookies, one can identify:
C) own cookies (or "first party" cookies), they are sent by the site visited, e.g. StanderBags.com, and can only be read by that site. These are, for example, cookies that remember which items have been placed in a user's shopping cart as the user continues to browse the site. Own cookies may be session cookies or persistent cookies.
D) third party cookies, the purpose of which is to collect data anonymously, such as analytical data, including browsing statistics. Other third party cookies are intended to track visitors' response to Stander's online promotional activities. This technology uses information about your visits to the Stander website, or to third party sites on which Stander advertisements are placed, to display targeted advertisements. Stander also uses this technology to identify which banner advertisements are likely to attract users to the Stander site.
Third-party cookies may also be session cookies or persistent cookies.
4. Categories of cookies on the StanderBags.com site
The cookies used on the Stander site can belong to one of the following categories.
A - Technical cookies
On the basis of the Guidelines provided by the Personal Data Protection Authority regarding the identification of simplified methods for providing information and acquiring consent for the use of cookies (8 May 2014) technical cookies can be divided into navigation or session cookies, analytical cookies and functionality cookies.
The user's consent is not required for the use of these cookies.
A.1: Browsing or session cookies
These are strictly necessary session cookies, essential to allow the user to navigate between the pages of the site and take advantage of the essential functionalities of the site, such as access to restricted areas. Authentication cookies fall into this category. Without such cookies, it would not be possible to provide essential services such as shopping carts and electronic invoicing.
Stander is able to identify the user when logging in to the StanderBags.com website and can thus ensure that the user is able to take advantage of the features provided on the site.
If the user decides to disable these cookies, he or she will not be able to use the Stander site to order products, but only to browse the site.
In addition, Stander uses a cookie to keep track of the fact that the user has been informed of the possibility that Stander uses profiling cookies and that he has given his consent, if applicable.
A.2: Analytical cookies
This type of cookie includes both its own (first-party) cookies and third-party cookies. These cookies, also known as performance cookies, collect information about how the user uses the Stander site in order to improve the quality of the site and the services offered. The information collected may concern, for example, which pages are visited most often by the user or whether the user receives error messages from the pages visited. Performance cookies allow Stander to apply the choices made by the user and to optimize the operation of the site. All information collected by this type of cookie is in aggregate form and therefore no identifying data (e.g. first and last name) is collected.
Among other analytical cookies, Stander uses analytical cookies to obtain statistical data relating to site access and navigation, to monitor which sites the user comes from, to help improve the site by measuring usage data and any errors that occur during the users' browsing experience, and to obtain statistical data relating to the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, through the use of data in aggregate form.
A.3: Functionality cookies
Functionality cookies allow the site to store a user's online preferences (such as username, language or location) and provide enhanced functionality with improved personalization.
These cookies may also be used to store user changes to the size of text or font used as well as other parts of a web page that can be customized by the user. They can also be used to provide services requested by the user or to prevent the user from receiving services that the user has previously refused.
This type of cookie includes both its own (first party) cookies and third party cookies. Currently, Stander only uses its own cookies, which can be either session cookies or persistent cookies.
By choosing certain functionalities and services the user accepts the use of the relevant functionality cookies by Stander.
B - Profiling cookies
Profiling cookies, which include promotional and targeting cookies, are used by Stander, its advertising service providers and/or third parties to offer the user a personalized browsing experience by delivering advertisements on third-party sites that are targeted at the user and in line with his or her interests. Cookies are used to detect user preferences and analyze online interactions and transactions between the user and Stander. The information is for the sole benefit of Stander and will not be shared with third parties, other than Stander's advertising service providers, for the sole purpose of processing such information on behalf of Stander.
Under certain circumstances, in particular if the user is logged into his or her account, Stander has the possibility to cross-reference the data collected via cookies with the user's personal data collected for the above-mentioned purposes, unless the user has expressly declined this type of processing and has decided not to accept this type of cookie. The user is advised to read Stander's privacy policy on the protection of personal data for more information on how Stander processes the user's personal data in these cases.
Among the various types of promotional and targeting cookies, Stander uses Flash cookies and Pixel Tags:
To disable Flash cookies the user must use the Flash Player settings management tools on the website: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/fr/flashplayer/help/settings_manager02.html.
- Pixel Tags If the user has consented to the use of tracking and/or profiling technologies, Stander may also use other tracking technologies (such as, but not limited to, web beacons, clear gifs) in the communications it sends to the user. The purpose of such technologies may be, from time to time, to know whether the user has read or opened the e-mail or whether there is any interaction with any links, for example, by clicking on them, and if so, with which links. This information may be cross-referenced with other information collected by Stander about the user, thus helping to provide the user with more relevant communications based on the user's browsing and shopping experience.
For more information on how we handle third party, Stander partner, profiling cookies on the site, please click here.
- Flash cookies: Stander may use local shared objects, known as Flash cookies, to store user preferences. The amount and type of information collected by Flash cookies is different from that of HTML cookies, which are used by browsers, and the way these cookies work is also different. The cookie management tools available in browsers are not able to remove Flash cookies.
The use of profiling cookies requires the user's consent; the user can change his or her preferences regarding promotional or targeting cookies at any time through his or her browser settings, as set out in point 6 below, or by enabling/disabling all third-party cookies, as set out in point 7 below.
5. Sharing of information
The information collected by Stander through the use of cookies and pixel tags will not be shared with third parties, with the exception of other Stander companies, advertising agencies and service providers that Stander uses, and Stander IT service providers (e.g. hosting service providers). This will take place exclusively within the limits of the purposes stated above.
6. Cookie preference management
The user has the opportunity to choose at any time whether to accept or reject the use of cookies/pixel tags by simply changing the settings of his browser.
Most internet browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can set your browser to warn you each time an operator attempts to send cookies/pixel tags to you, and/or to prevent their acceptance. Most browsers provide information on how to prevent cookies from being stored in the browser or how to receive a warning message before accepting cookies/pixel tags or how to disable all cookies/pixel tags; this information is available in the "Help" menu, accessible from the toolbar.
Below the user can find pages describing the settings in more detail for each browser:
Chrome
Firefox
• Safari
• Opera
If the user uses more than one browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox, etc.), it is necessary to repeat the procedure with each of them, and if the user uses several devices to connect to the Internet (e.g. from work and from home), it is necessary to set his preferences on each browser on each device.
Attention: the complete disabling of cookies from the browser may affect the correct functionality of some parts of the Stander site, such as - for example - the normal navigation between the pages of the site or the possibility of making purchases, up to the loss of personalisation functions so that the offer of advertisements during the visit to the site may not be targeted according to the user's interests.
